ANGIE LOUISE is a singer-songwriter inspired by the likes of Leonard Cohen, Nina Hagen, Tom Waits, Richard Thompson and Kurt Weill. The Love Markets are a Weimar Berlin-inspired band who play songs of the past & future. Formed in 2008 while on tour with the 5th Avenue Theatre’s Cabaret, the band showcases Angie Louise & Nick Garrison, an arsenal of songs written by Louise and new re-imaginings of vintage Weimar cabaret works. Appearances: sellout & SRO performances at ACT, Seattle Art Museum, Can Can, Seattle International Cabaret Festival, and TV’s ArtZone. A longtime Equity theatre actress, Angie's recent appearances include playing characters who play instruments onstage.

In 2008, she accompanied herself on the accordion as German prostitute Fraulein Kost in the 5th Avenue Theatre's acclaimed touring production of Cabaret (pictured at left). In 2009, she reprises the role for Theatre Under The Stars in Houston, Texas. In 2007, she took the stage as beehived '50's rock-and-roll pianist Vi Petty in Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, pounding out a Jerry Lee Lewis solo in bathrobe and curlers. A longtime cabaret artist as well as a singer-songwriter, Angie's shows have ranged from the sublime ("A mesmerizing presence and an amazing voice" - Seattle Gay News, for Songs To Sing In A Bar) to the ridiculous ("The funniest cabaret show to hit Seattle since Lord knows when" – TalkinBroadway.com, for Miss Angie's Blues).

She also fronts Kitten In Swingville, an Andrews Sisters-style swing trio (pictured at left in Seattle Magazine). Kitten In Swingville performs holiday tunes and Big Band hits. Available with jazz pianist, jazz combo or big band.
